Mac McCarthy possesses significant expertise in the science and practice of water treatment. During his career, he has constructed two 1mgd treatment plants to remove explosive compounds from groundwater; designed and operated remote location treatment facilities to lower the TPH levels of recovered oily water below the regulatory action limit; and maintained QA/QC
protocols associated with formal Sample and Analysis plans. Additionally, for over ten years, McCarthy has participated in shipboard trials of technologies designed to control the propagation of Invasive Nuisance Species (INS) in ballast water.
